Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them. A couple of years ago, I was visiting friends in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. What started as a peaceful trip quickly turned into a life-altering moment when I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident right outside JCB hospital.

The moment the accident happened, the local community stepped in. People gathered me up off the street and brought me straight into the hospital. From the second I entered those doors, the level of care was nothing short of phenomenal.
The doctors and staffs were incredibly professional, but more importantly, deeply attentive. When you are in a foreign place and facing a medical emergency, that kind of compassion makes all the difference.
The Road to Recovery
The accident had done serious damage to my leg. The surgeons at JCB Hospitals performed a procedure to install metal supports to help my bones solidify and regain their original shape.
I remember asking the doctor, "Can this metal eventually be removed?" He assured me it could.
Two years later, I returned to the same hospital to complete the journey and remove the hardware.
